Job Description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs and initiatives which have impact across the enterprise with broad impact

  • Act as key participant in large-scale planning

  • Review and analyze complex digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area

  • Influence digital strategy for the business line requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in digital strategy for product/functionality/experience area requiring strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements

  • Lead a broad team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Potentially lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Employ a customer obsessed mindset and product management techniques to actively pursue customer engagement and a deep knowledge of customer behavior to act as their voice in discovery and product refinement.
  • Apply a working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, in a multi-team environment to enable the realization of outcomes from discovery through delivery to the market.
  • Orchestrate discovery practices, including testing and experimentation, to create a shared understanding of the technology domain, business strategy, and customer desire in the marketplace in partnership with design and engineering partners across cross-functional areas.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to contribute to and influence overall product vision and roadmap to convey desired outcomes through the product backlog.
  • Ability to exercise effective product backlog management including prioritization in alignment with OKRs to deliver the greatest value-based outcomes in alignment with overall product strategy and setting of the product goal.
  • Attend key Agile events for the product area to connect product strategy to the team and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Entrusted to make decisions for their product area such as defining acceptance criteria, acceptance of stories and determining when the solution delivered will meet the definition of done to maximize value and iterative learnings from the team.
  • Actively seek to utilize data mining and perform analysis to uncover data driven insights and support recommendations of necessary actions
  • Engage with cross-functional experts to ensure solutions are business ready from risk, legal, compliance, and policy perspectives
  • Strong ability to leverage various communication methods and styles across varying levels and sizes of audiences to convey the vision of the product and address critical decision points to sustain team, customer, and stakeholder excitement around the product.
  • Aptness for self-management, problem-solving, and critical decision making in an efficient manner using strong analytical thinking in a complex matrixed environment
  • Ability to use empathy to understand customer and end user needs and translate into delivery themes


Job Expectations:

AI proficiency requirements

  • Understanding and Application of AI Tools: Ability to leverage AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Tachyon, Agentspace) for product owner tasks such as discovery, research, decomposing epics/features into user stories, retro etc. Additionally for summarizing information, drafting content, and analyzing data, while maintaining human oversight.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to interpret AI outputs, validate insights, and make informed business decisions.
  • Responsible AI Use: Awareness of ethical considerations, data privacy, and compliance when using AI solutions.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning: Commitment to upskilling and staying current with emerging technologies. Identifying and exploring opportunities to improve efficiency in the product operating model and drive/support implementation.
  • 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST (may need flexibility to attend planning sessions with L2/L3 and other stakeholders)
  • Work from Office (as mandated by business, currently 3 Full Days in office)
  • 2+ years of experience within Consumer Lending - Cards portfolio
  • Strong data analytics skills
  • Thorough knowledge of competitive markets, operations and various products and services
  • Product Certification
