Accounts Executive (Travel Agency)

About Us

Join a renowned and dynamic travel agency dedicated to providing exceptional travel experiences. We are seeking a meticulous, experienced accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance in the UAE market.

Role:

Accountant Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in accounting.

Location: Dubai

Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and effective reporting:

Financial Reporting & Systems

• Accounting Software: Independently create and finalize monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) using Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Xero.
• Financial Management: Apply a good understanding of management accounting principles to aid strategic decision-making.
• 
  Project-Wise Accounting: Implement and maintain robust systems to track profitability for tours and travel packages.

Tax Compliance & Payroll

• VAT Filing: Handle and ensure timely and accurate VAT filing and compliance.
• Corporate Tax: Possess working knowledge and practical experience with Corporate Tax return preparation and filing requirements.
• Payroll Processing: Efficiently process payroll for all employees, ensuring adherence to labor laws.

Expense Control & Stakeholder Management

• Expense Monitoring: Proactively monitor and control expenses related to tours, travel packages, and general administrative costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Funds Management: Oversee and manage daily funds management and cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for financial dealings with vendors and employees, resolving payment queries and ensuring smooth operations.

Requirements & Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in an accounting role.
• Proven expertise in accounting software for financial statement generation is mandatory. Zoho experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulatory requirements for VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and employee interactions.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
