Manager - Accounting - Retail/Textile - CA

About the role :
This role entails day to day management of the operating tasks of the Accounting team; including delivering on month end close, financial statements, external audit deliverables, projects and training, development and mentoring of team members
- Sound knowledge of financial reporting procedures and policies and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.
- Rendering assistance to auditors in conjunction with the external audit process.
- Manage & oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including all bookkeeping functions, month and year-end processes, treasury and budgeting.
- GL analysis and validation of trial balance.
- Develop & enhance financial and operational processes in line with business strategy; while ensuring adequate financial controls, discipline and statutory compliance.
- Issue identification, escalation and resolution.
- Implementing best in class accounting practices.

- Ability to manage, develop and mentor in a remote and/or partial remote work environment
Required skills :
- Experience managing, developing and mentoring a team of 3-6 people
- Experience in US GAAP
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles & standards
- Experience with US Accounting standards preferred and/or IFRS
- In-depth knowledge of accounting processes and controls
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual & problem solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Hands on manager, but strong team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education :
- 5+ years of experience after CA Certification. 1 to 2 years experience in managing people.
