About the Role:

The Financial Controller is a key leadership position reporting directly to the CEO. The role oversees the companys complete finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and control across operations. It involves driving financial planning, cash flow, costing, ERP, and process improvements, while providing strategic insights that support business growth and sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations, Reporting and Analysis

Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations.

Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on financial performance.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes.

2. Regulatory Compliance and Auditing

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Liaise with statutory auditors and coordinate the audit process.

Maintain and update internal control and compliance frameworks.

3. Cash Flow Management

Monitor and manage the companys cash flow, working capital, and fund flow.

Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity.

4. Taxation

Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.

Coordinate with external tax advisors for tax planning and assessments.

5. Costing and Pricing

Develop and maintain product costing models and ensure accurate cost allocation.

Work with production and sales teams to set competitive and profitable pricing structures.

Conduct margin analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

6. Team Leadership and Development

Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.

Build a collaborative and high-performance finance function.

7. Strategic Planning

Contribute to long-term financial strategy and business planning.

Provide financial insights and scenario analyses to support key business

8. Process Improvement and ERP Implementation

Identify and implement process improvements across all financial and operational areas to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Lead the design, customization, and implementation of ERP systems, ensuring seamless integration of financial modules with operations, production, and inventory for real-time data visibility.

Drive automation, standardization, and adoption of best practices in financial control and reporting.

9. Audit Handling

Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits to ensure timely completion and compliance.

Oversee due diligence audits during funding, acquisitions, or other corporate transactions.

Strengthen internal audit mechanisms to enhance control effectiveness.

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

Experience: Minimum 67 years in Finance & Accounts, with strong exposure to manufacturing industry operations.

In-depth understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance norms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and financial systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proven leadership skills with team-building and mentoring experience.

Experience in the Mattress, Textile, or related consumer manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.

Language Proficiency: Tamil and English Mandatory.
