VisionSpring is a social enterprise creating access to eyeglasses, unlocking human potential. We believe that clear vision is a fundamental human right, and eyeglasses are a powerful tool to increase opportunity, productivity, and safety. We reach low-income individuals, increasing earning potential and improving well-being for them and their families. VisionSpring is a pioneer in creating systemic change, demonstrating a market-based solution to deliver vision services and affordable eyeglasses to the poor. We work through strategic partnerships with corporations, NGOs, government and community health workers, reaching workplaces, schools, faith-based organizations, and villages. To date, VisionSpring has screened more than 10.5 million people, distributed over 8 million pairs of eyeglasses, and trained more than 52,000 community health workers and other eye health providers. Roughly 75% of our clients are women, and 90% live on less than $4 per day.
