Indicative process. The company does not publish its hiring process, so the steps below are compiled from publicly reported candidate experiences and placement sources. Rounds vary by role, experience level, campus and year – treat this as a guide, not a guarantee, and confirm current details with the company.

HCLTech’s fresher hiring is generally reported as four rounds:

1. Online aptitude test – Quantitative, reasoning and English.
2. Group discussion – Used for many entry-level intakes to assess communication and reasoning.
3. Technical interview – Programming fundamentals, core subjects and projects.
4. HR interview – Behavioural questions, relocation and joining formalities.

HCLTech also runs open walk-in drives where eligible candidates complete the assessment and interviews on the same day, and separate early-career programmes that hire students directly after Class 12 or during graduation.
