When you're the largest bank in Denmark, there's nowhere to grow but out. Danske Bank serves consumers and businesses through a network of more than 300 branches in Denmark; it also has about 120 branches in Finland (where it operates Sampo Bank), some 50 branches each in Sweden (Östgöta Enskilda Bank) and Norway (Fokus Bank), and more than 100 branches in Ireland and Northern Ireland, where it owns National Irish Bank and Northern Bank, respectively. The company also has operations in Germany, Poland, Russia, and the Baltic states. In addition to standard deposit and lending services, Danske Bank offers asset management, insurance, leasing, securities trading and research, and real estate brokerage services.
