Cognizant’s fresher hiring in India runs largely through its GenC programme. It is generally reported as four stages:
- Communication assessment – An AI-proctored, audio-based round: reading sentences aloud, repeating phrases, rearranging jumbled words verbally and retelling a short story.
- Aptitude test – Quantitative, logical reasoning and verbal sections.
- Technical test – Programming fundamentals and coding.
- Interview panel – A combined technical and HR discussion.
Eligibility usually requires a minimum academic record and no standing arrears. GenC Next and GenC Elevate are higher tracks with additional rounds.
