The Role

Our team focuses on leveraging AI to enhance productivity across the company, automating routine tasks like knowledge retrieval and code migrations. We partner with teams throughout Block to understand their requirements and create versatile solutions that benefit the entire organization. s. You will report to the Engineering Manager for the Applied AI Platform team in the AI and Data Analytics group. This team consists of Machine learning engineers and software engineers.

Were looking for enthusiastic and experienced full-stack engineers with expertise in frontend to help us build an amazing interface for our customers trying to leverage our platform including our next-generation of AI agent "Goose".

You Will

• Develop a scalable interface for our AI systems to host internal and external facing use cases
• Lead AI innovation by building and open sourcing advanced frameworks and tools to enhance internal workflows and set industry standards
• Improve internal productivity and engineering velocity by designing novel solutions to automate complex processes
• Define the future of AI at Block as a part of a newly formed company-wide initiative
• Collaborate across diverse teams to develop AI solutions by understanding and generalizing the problems of cross-functional stakeholders
• Improve understanding of Blocks AI strategy by being a company AI expert and educating other teams about how to apply modern AI to their domains

You Have

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in frontend and deep understanding of web technologies
• 
  Understanding of LLMs and their capabilities
• A desire to understand our clients needs to design tools and systems that solve our customers problems. As a platform team, our main customers are internal developers and products.
• Passion for improving your productivity as a developer and intuiting the ideal developer experience.
• Ability to produce production-quality code and services incorporating testing, evaluation, monitoring, and exquisite documentation, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to a new domain, hack MVPs, and iterate to improve product.
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
