Job Description

60 Decibels is a tech-powered impact measurement company that makes it easy to listen to the people who matter most. Weve been in business as an independent entity since early 2019, when we spun out of the global Impact Investor Acumen.
We believe that the best way to understand social impact is by talking to the people experiencing that impact. It sounds obvious when you say it, but that is not the typical practice for many impact investors, corporations and foundations working to create social change.
We collect social impact data directly from beneficiaries (customers / employees / suppliers) using our network of 1000+ trained research assistants in 75+ countries. We do it quickly and without the fuss typically associated with measuring social impact. Our research assistants speak directly to customers to understand their lived experience; and our team turns all this data into benchmarked social performance reports, with accompanying insights, to help our clients demonstrate and improve social performance.
By making impact measurement simple, scalable, and comparable, we not only enable organizations to improve their products and services; we also help transform what it means to credibly measure impact, ensuring that the voices of those who matter most are always part of the story.
About the role:
We are a fast-growing, mission-driven, B2B company working with the world’s leading impact investors, companies, foundations and non-profits who are looking to create positive social impact. As a Product Manager for our internal platform, you will be responsible for solving business-critical problems for our users, helping the organization work better and smarter to address the needs of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our internal tools and have a strong impact in a tech for good company.
Specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Develop and execute the product roadmap for our internal platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Services and Operations to translate business requirements into actionable plans.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to deeply understand user needs and pain points, ensuring a user-centered approach to product development.
  • Define and prioritize features and enhancements based on strategic goals and user feedback.
  • Drive organizational collaboration, by working closely with stakeholders across different teams and departments to ensure alignment.
  • Work closely with our engineering team to ensure successful implementation of features, providing clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Communicate product updates, progress, and timelines to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including executives and department heads.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and product-focus across the organisation.
  • Drive adoption and usage of the platform, measuring and analysing key metrics to inform product iterations and improvements.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to our platform, and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
About You: First and foremost, you bring compassion and dedication to this work because it matters to you.
  • You have 6-8 years of experience in Product Management roles, with a track record of successfully launching and managing digital products using agile methodologies.
  • You have knowledge of digital transformation principles and experience in driving organizational change through technology solutions.
  • You are a strong systems thinker. You think broadly and holistically and understand how all the pieces connect together. In doing so, you continually identify key gaps in the user experience and opportunities for improvement.
  • You have a strategic mindset and a vision-driven approach. You grasp and can articulate the broader vision and objectives of a product. With your ability to understand the high-level strategy, you excel at breaking down complex ideas into tangible projects and initiatives that align with the overall product strategy.
  • You are empathetic and excited to speak to users every day, to understand and advocate for their needs, using qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex situations, identify solutions, and make data-driven decisions.

  • You are a clear and persuasive communicator. You have various communication methods for influencing and driving alignment. You bring the voice of the user to life, and you understand how to communicate with senior leaders for buy-in and how to vary that communication when working with different stakeholders.
  • Ideally you have a strong design background, as it’s essential you’re able to think deeply about product design decisions and have an understanding of how to create simple user interfaces.
Other characteristics that will help you succeed in this role and be a great cultural fit: you have a bias towards action—you get your hands dirty—and you actively tackle problems in ways that lead to great outcomes. You successfully balance flexibility and rigor, and embrace taking strategic risks and growing from mistakes. Ultimately, you are eager to do the work to build something new and (we hope) important to the world.
About our team and our culture: we are a fun and hardworking global team that is full of smart, mission-driven folks who combine an entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to make a positive change in the world.
We consistently hear from our clients that the best thing about 60 Decibels is the people. To get a feel for our slightly nerdy, not-take-ourselves-too-seriously vibe, check out our monthly newsletter, The Volume.
Compensation: 60 Decibels offers a competitive salary and benefits package and the opportunity to work in a flexible, fun and supportive environment. The salary range will be adjusted according to costs of living in our country offices.
Extra Perks: We have an unlimited leave policy and 12 monthly recharge days, on the first Friday of each month. We are a globally distributed team and we give team members opportunities to cross-pollinate and visit our different offices.
