Job Title: Data Analyst - Big Data Optimization

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst specializing in Big Data optimization to join our dynamic team. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing large datasets to extract valuable insights and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. Your expertise in handling Big Data and proficiency in data analysis techniques will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and enhancing overall business performance.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Management:

- Collect, organize, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.

- Develop and maintain efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms, including data warehouses or data lakes.

- Implement robust data governance practices, adhering to relevant data protection and privacy regulations.

2. Data Analysis:

- Employ advanced analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from Big Data, employing statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning algorithms.

- Identify patterns, trends, and correlations within datasets, translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

- Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover key insights and provide data-driven solutions to business challenges.

3. Optimization and Modeling:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define optimization objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for business processes.

- Develop predictive models, statistical analyses, and simulation scenarios to optimize business operations and drive efficiency.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and revenue growth based on data-driven insights.

4. Reporting and Visualization:

- Create comprehensive reports and visualizations to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

- Design and implement interactive dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

- Present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.

- Work closely with IT teams to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members, explaining complex concepts and analyses in a simplified manner.

Requirements:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

- Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on managing and analyzing large-scale datasets.

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.) and related tools.

- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, decision trees, and time series forecasting.

- Proficient in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

- Experience with SQL and MongoDB data querying languages for data extraction and transformation.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling visual representations of data.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.

- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
