Quality Assurance Engineer

To ensure that products and services meet defined quality standards and fulfil customer expectations. This role involves implementing testing processes, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to enhance product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and document test plans, strategies, and specifications based on product requirements and user stories.
• Create detailed, reusable test cases and test scripts for various testing types (functional, integration, automation, regression, performance, etc.).
• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
• Build, execute, and maintain automation frameworks; integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Conduct regression testing to validate recent code changes.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing (web and mobile).
• Set up and maintain test environments for accurate test execution.
• Conduct performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter or Blazemeter.
• Analyze testing processes, provide recommendations, and drive continuous improvement in QA practices.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test activities, results, and quality metrics for stakeholders.

• Assist in coordinating UAT activities, providing guidance and support during the testing phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).

Work Experience

• 58 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide QA teams.

  Testing Expertise: Proficiency in manual, automated, regression, and performance testing.
• Automation Skills: Experience with tools like Selenium, JUnit, Katalon, and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).
• API Testing: Proficiency with Postman, RestAssured, etc.
• Defect Tracking: Expertise with JIRA or similar tools.
• Performance Testing: Familiarity with JMeter, Blazemeter.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development, databases, web technologies, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
