Medical Biller - Part Time

Overview
The role of a Medical Biller is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities by managing the billing and claims process. As a Part Time Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical claims, communicating with insurance companies, and maintaining patients financial records.
Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify accuracy of billing data and claim submissions
• Ensure compliance with insurance requirements and government regulations
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resubmit as necessary
• Resolve billing discrepancies and appeal denied claims
• Communicate with patients regarding their bills and payment options
• Process payments and refunds
  
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Utilize billing software and electronic medical records systems
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Stay updated on coding and billing changes
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Medical Billing preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing or coding
