Job Description

Key Responsibilities


1. Distribution Sales Rice

- Deliver regional sales targets (volume, value, and margins) for Rice products.


- Drive secondary sales and off-take across Distribution.


- Align execution with retailer/ Rice partner requirements and SLAs.

2. Market Development & Penetration


- Identify growth opportunities across geographies for Rice expansion.


- Lead outlet addition, coverage expansion, and category penetration initiatives

3. Pricing & Commercial Management


- Execute competitive pricing strategies balancing retailer margins and company profitability.


- Monitor price realization, trade schemes, and discount effectiveness.


- Benchmark against local/national brands and compet itors.


- Collaborate with global teams to ensure pricing effectiveness.

4. Distributor Expansion & Management


- Appoint and develop distributors aligned to Rice scale-up strategy.


- Drive distributor ROI, working capital efficiency, and service levels.


- Ensure compliance with stock norms, claim settlements, and reporting discipline.


- Build distributor capability for execution of Rice positioning (value vs brand alternatives) .

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration


- Work closely with sourcing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure consistent supply and product standards.


- Partner with global marketing/branding teams on packaging, positioning, and consumer communication.


- Align with global teams on business plans and growth targets.

6. Team Leadership


- Lead and coach regional sales teams and frontline salesforce.


- Drive productivity through structured planning and execution discipline.


- Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews aligned to distribution, sales, and execution

metrics
