This position reports to
Procurement Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories.
Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company, procurement, and supply base management instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.
The work model for the role is # Linkedin -Onsite.
This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Bengaluru, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supports regional and global sourcing initiatives as required.
• Applies and implements PL standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• Prepare Division SCM budget targets, ensure appropriate reporting and follow-up in achieving the KPIs coordinate with respective Global Commodity Managers
• Continuously work on identifying cost Effective sources with clear target for quality supply meeting ABB sourcing requirements.
• Work along with Engineering function in implementing technical changes & coordinate for commercial impact if any.
• Identify upon cost reduction ideas, follow with concern to implement ideas with identified & qualified sources.
  

Qualifications for the role

• BE in Mechanical / Electrical engineering, Diploma Holders with relevant strong experience would be considered.
• 6 8 years of experience in Sourcing in a manufacturing environment.

  Get Hired
• Hands on experience in Sourcing & Procurement operations / Category management in the below given
• commodity.
• Sourcing Exp in Low Voltage Manufacturing product lines viz., MCB / MCCB / ACB would be added advantage.
• Category Expertise in High Speed Metal Stamping / Plastic Molding / Subcontracting process.
