In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Relationship Management- Manage and expand customer and referral relationships by exercising sound judgement in needs assessment, mortgage advisory, and solution positioning, in order to maximize conversion and deliver sustainable portfolio outcomes. Proactively manage customer expectations across complex cases by clearly articulating requirements, timelines, and dependencies, ensuring confidence and continuity throughout the customer journey. Strengthen referral effectiveness by maintaining structured engagement with approved sources, prioritizing quality opportunities, and sustaining long term relationship value aligned with Bank objectives
- Mortgage Sales and Pipeline Delivery- Own mortgage pipeline performance by independently sourcing, qualifying, prioritizing, and progressing applications across varying levels of complexity, in order to deliver agreed volume outcomes. Apply judgement to balance speed, quality, and risk when managing multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring pipeline momentum is maintained without compromising execution standards. Actively anticipate slippages and bottlenecks, taking corrective action through early intervention, escalation, and stakeholder coordination to protect turnaround time and conversion rates
- Credit Assessment and Solution Structuring- Structure mortgage solutions by applying advanced understanding of customer profiles, affordability dynamics, and Bank credit requirements, in order to support timely, well‑reasoned credit decisioning. Apply sound judgement to validate documentation, assess eligibility, and prepare robust, auditable case submissions, proactively addressing potential credit concerns through clear rationale and timely information updates. Translate approval outcomes and conditions into executable actions, ensuring alignment between credit intent and fulfilment execution
- Stakeholder Coordination and Case Management- Own end‑to‑end case coordination by influencing internal teams and approved external parties to progress mortgage applications through valuation, approval, fulfilment, and disbursement, in order to deliver predictable turnaround time and controlled execution. Ensure early identification and resolution of interdependencies, service risks, and exceptions through structured escalation and follow‑through, maintaining clear accountability and consistent service delivery until case completion
- Portfolio Quality and Post‑Sales Support - Safeguard mortgage portfolio quality by applying heightened attention to accuracy, completeness, and compliance across all case submissions, in order to minimize rework, exceptions, and post‑booking issues. Take responsibility for post‑approval processes by coordinating conditions, addressing service issues, and enhancing process reliability through feedback to improve customer outcomes
- Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures- Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
- Self-Management- Manage self in line with the Bank's people management policies, procedures, practices and procedures to ensure adherence and maximize own contribution to business performance
- Customer Service- Demonstrate our promise and apply the ADCB service standards to deliver the Banks required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 5 years of Relationship Management and Sales experience in Banking/Financial Services industry, with exposure to mortgage or secured lending products
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related
- Accredited Financial Analyst, Certified Investment Professional, Certificate in Quantitative Finance, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified International Investment Analyst
- Master Financial Risk Manager (FRM), ICA Specialist or Certificate in Conduct Risk
- Understanding of Mortgage Products and Services
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Systems
- Problem Solving, Troubleshooting, Interpersonal and Multitasking Skills, Time Management
- Customer Service Ethics and building Customer Relationships
- Mortgage Lending Solutions and Case Management
- Regulatory and Compliance Awareness
