Technology Solutions Architect

About the Role

Academian is seeking a Technology Solutions Architect in edtech to lead the design, estimation, and strategic planning of technology-based learning solutions. This key role drives the solution of client projects across platforms, analytics, data, and AI.

As the senior authority on technology-driven solutions within the Strategy & Solutions team, you will collaborate closely with Sales and Delivery. Your contribution will shape architecture, effort estimation, and technology implementation of edtech systems, ensuring solutions are both innovative and practical.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution development and technical writing for RFPs, RFIs, and client proposals, with a focus on technology-driven edtech initiatives and innovation opportunities.
• Create and validate technical architectures for learning platforms, integrations, analytics systems, and AI-based applications.
• Create and present solution and capability decks that articulate Academians technical vision, architecture choices, and value proposition for client discussions, executive presentations, and partner collaborations.
• Collaborate with delivery and engineering teams to develop detailed effort estimates, delivery workflows, and implementation strategies.
• Develop comprehensive solution blueprints for data platforms, interoperability frameworks, and AI-powered learning ecosystems.
• Assess client needs and translate them into scalable, cost-efficient technology-oriented solutions.
• Review the solution documentation prepared by the Business Analysts and provide technical validation and guidance throughout the proposal cycle.
• Maintain and evolve reusable technical assets, such as estimation templates, solution architectures, and reference implementation patterns.
  
• Participate in client meetings and presentations alongside Sales and Account Managers in managing technology-oriented conversations, address technical queries, and build client confidence in Academians solution capability.
• Contribute to internal reporting, reviews, case studies, and capability-building initiatives by providing updates on solution pipeline, estimation accuracy, and technology trends, and by supporting thought leadership or social media initiatives that highlight Academians technology capabilities and success stories.
• Support internal upskilling and knowledge-sharing efforts on technology concepts, frameworks, and standards that inform future solutioning. Keep up with emerging edtech and enterprise technologies, including cloud architectures, data lakes, knowledge graphs, AI/ML frameworks, and interoperability standards like LTI, QTI, OneRoster, and Caliper, etc.

Partner with delivery and engineering teams during handover and project initiation to ensure a smooth transition from presales to execution.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in solution architecture, technical pre-sales, or technology consulting, with hands-on involvement in EdTech, SaaS, or enterprise learning platforms.
• Thorough knowledge of LMS/LXP architectures, APIs, cloud services, and system integration models.
• Practical experience in data architecture, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL workflows, and learning analytics pipelines.
• Knowledge of graph models, semantic data structures, and AI-driven educational personalization.
• Proficient in effort estimation, project planning, and solution documentation, with excellent written and spoken English skills. Able to independently author and present complex technology strategies to business/client audiences.

  Get Hired
  Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Technical skills:
• Java Full Stack architect, open to working on multi-tech
• Non-technical skills:
• Writing Technical Proposals, RFPs, RFIs, SOWs,
• High proficiency in the English language (verbal and written).
