Director - Product Management (Payments Solutions)

Role purpose
As a Director - Product Management, you will be responsible for product planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the business. You will guide cross-functional teams to generate and implement new product initiatives and increase the profitability of the existing products.
You will also work closely and actively contribute towards Accelya’s innovative Payment product strategy and the existing payments product line.
We’re looking for an experienced product leader who will be responsible for all the product management aspects including market research, product definition, prioritisation, planning, roadmap delivery and driving the Go to Market strategy for these products. You will guide cross-functional teams to generate and implement new product initiatives and increase the profitability of these solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities

• On-going development of the product vision and strategy. Formulate and communicate product vision, strategy and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.
• Management of your products, increasing profitability and setting of Profit and Loss goals.
• Perform market/customer research and convert identified needs into deliverable product requirements.
• Effectively develop and lead a high performing team of product owners.
• Work closely with multiple product owners, engineering teams, architects and bridge the gap between business needs and implementation, ensuring a smooth delivery of products to customers. Additionally, you will work closely with our sales, customer success, professional services and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
• Support strategic value-based selling/pre-sales activities and wider go to market strategy for your products.
  

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Experience and good knowledge of payment/fintech solutions, ideally within the airline/travel industry.
• Ability to create a compelling product vision, strategy and associated business cases.
• Experience building highly scalable commercial software products in a product management role.
• Experience taking products from inception to launch to ongoing enhancements.
• Knowledge of product management best practices. Formal product management training/qualification is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams. SAFe certification is desirable.
• Ability to build a strong team of Product Owners, but also act as a strong individual contributor that is willing to get their hands into the details.
• Self-motivated and ability to motivate others. Lead through influence.
