We are headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, California with locations in India, Canada, UK. This year we will be expanding to multiple countries.
Role - Accounting Lead
Location - Gurgaon (HR)
Work type - Hybrid
Primary functions and essential responsibilities:
- Manage entire Billing (AR and AP) pertaining to Revenue operations at Corporate HQ in USA
- Manage Timely Billing and co-ordinate with Collections specialist in collecting AR
- Keeping records of invoices, deposits, and all correspondence regarding payment collection and upload into ERP system.
- Apply customer payments into ERP system and internal billing platform.
- Ensure timely responses to customer inquiries on Invoices
- Lead AP team to ensure application of consistent and accurate billing codes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls for AR & AP and implement processes to effectively execute the controls.
- Reconciliation of customer and vendor aging statements and coordinate audit requests related to the same
- Prepare customer and vendor credit applications and access payment portals
- Support month end books close process including preparing reconciliation reports.
- Training and mentoring of staff members in the department.
- Ad hoc requests to support management reporting request.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance required
- MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance preferred
- Chartered Accountant certification preferred

Required Knowledge:
- Experience with transactional accounting
- Working experience with ERP accounting software, reporting software (Oracle Netsuite, Sage Intaact, QBO, Bill.com)
- GAAP knowledge preferred
- Strong knowledge of MS Office including Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup functions)
Experience Required:
- Four or Five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years as a lead, supervisor, or manager
Skills/Abilities:
- Ownership –can resolve tasks and customer queries from beginning to end
- Interpersonal skills – can follow up with internally teams and answer customer questions
- Detail-oriented
