Job Description

The mission of Australian College of Vocational Education and Training (ACVET) is to establish itself as a leading provider of vocational education and training, enabling students to gain skills and knowledge that are relevant to the industry. The Role
You Will Be Responsible For
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing Xero reconciliation for the company, mainly related to student fees and agent commissions. The role will involve keeping track of instalment plans of students and providing up to date record of all fees collection and dues. A significant part of the role will also involve keeping track of agent commission payments and timely submission of commission reports to all agents.
  • Recording financial transactions and carrying out reconciliation in Xero
  • Preparing accurate and up to date monthly reports for finances
  • Record fees collection from students in a timely manner and identify late payments for escalation to management
  • Work with operations team to identify at risk students in a timely manner
  • Respond to finance related queries of all students and agents
  • Contribute for the finance section of the company management report
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Process payrolls for all offshore staff members
  • Prepare quarterly activity statements for GST reporting
Ideal Profile
  • At least bachelor’s in accounting or any accreditation from reputed accounting body which is internationally recognized
  • Intermediate experience in managing accounting records and reconciliations
  • Knowledge of the accounting software Xero.
  • High ethical standards and integrity

    This is a working from home, remote position. You need to be available during Australian working hours (AEDT). This is a full-time position, and your availability is required during working hours.
  • Three months’ probationary period is applicable to this role.
  • Laptop will be provided for the role.
  • Remuneration will base on applicant’s experience.
  • Potential of pay raise after successful completion of the probationary period.
