National Sales Head - Agrochemicals
Job Description
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced and result-oriented National Sales Head to lead Pan India sales, marketing, and business development operations. The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening dealer and distribution networks, leading regional sales teams, and developing market expansion strategies across India.
The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to the agriculture industry, preferably in agrochemicals, agri machinery, equipment, irrigation, or allied agri-input sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive overall Pan India sales growth and achieve annual revenue targets.
- Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, channel expansion possibilities, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead direct sales as well as dealer/distributor-driven business operations.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Strengthen and expand dealer/distributor network across regions.
- Develop channel partner engagement and performance improvement programs.
- Ensure efficient territory coverage and market penetration.
- Monitor distributor profitability, inventory management, and payment cycles.
Team Leadership
- Set KRAs, sales targets, and performance metrics for the sales organization.
- Build a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and growth.
- Coordinate closely with marketing, product, operations, and service teams.
Market Intelligence & Competitor Monitoring
- Track competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and market trends.
- Provide strategic inputs for product positioning and pricing.
- Analyze market demand, customer behavior, and emerging opportunities.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Forecast sales and prepare business plans and MIS reports.
- Monitor sales performance, collections, and profitability.
- Ensure implementation of CRM and sales process discipline.
Marketing Support
- Support branding, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and farmer engagement activities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for product launches and market activation programs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.

- Minimum 15+ years of experience in sales/business development.
- Minimum 5+ years of Pan India sales leadership exposure.
- Experience in Agrochemicals, Agri Machinery, Farming Equipment, Farm Implements, Irrigation, or allied sectors preferred.
- Strong dealer/distribution network management experience.
- Proven track record of achieving aggressive sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
