Ports & SEZ: Over the past few years, we have evolved from a traditional port operator to a leading integrated ports services provider. As the largest port organization for the past two decades, we offer a wide range of services including cargo handling, container terminal operations, logistics, port infrastructure development, and maintenance. Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.
Job Purpose: CEO - Ports (Medium Site) is responsible for leading and executing the strategic vision of the company, overseeing operations, business development, and stakeholder management. Ensure the efficient and profitable execution of Ports projects, compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of safety and innovation.
Responsibilities
Strategic Oversight:
Direct the implementation of long-term strategies at the medium site level, ensuring they are consistent with the companys broader objectives.
Budget Management
Manage capital and operational budgets to align with financial targets, focusing on cost optimization and asset utilization for medium-sized port operations.
Business Development
Identify new trading opportunities and commodities to enhance business volume. Lead the team to prioritize high-value business segments and explore land acquisition for business expansion. Promote integrated logistics solutions and secure long-term customer relationships.
Customer Acquisition
Acquire new customers and foster business relationships, ensuring a balance between supply and demand for optimal vessel utilization. Focus on operational efficiency while driving business growth.
Project Management
Oversee all project activities to maintain an effective operating environment at the site and review operational performance metrics to implement necessary improvements.
Maritime Commerce Development
Drive initiatives to enhance maritime commerce and logistics and collaborate with industry stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
Thought Leadership
Set exemplary operational standards for the port and benchmark these practices against the worlds leading ports to maintain a competitive edge.
Performance Management
Review key port operations metrics, such as vessel turnaround time and cargo handling efficiency, implementing corrective actions to maintain high standards of performance.
Stakeholder Engagement
Manage corporate and external stakeholder relations, including with government, PSUs, and industry partners, to protect and advance business interests. Engage with local authorities and communities to prevent unrest and address their needs.
Safety, Sustainability, And Security
Collaborate with corporate functions to promote safety, security, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring the ports operations are environmentally responsible and secure.

Qualifications
20+ yrs work exp, minimum 10 years in leadership position with large conglomerates from Ports & Shipping, Infrastructure, Cement, Power, Mining, Aluminum sectors. Leading with entrepreneurial approach and orientation, growing businesses by converting opportunities into success, creating sustainable value for stakeholders.
