Job Description
- Job Purpose
- Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas (Max 5)
- Strategic and business planning, market mapping of current and future product capabilities, sizing of business opportunities and creation of strategic enterprise mobility data & voice roadmap, based on market needs, competition insights and customer requirements. Create a market-aligned & competitive future roadmap for enterprise mobility data & voice services. Detailed business plan to include market share aspirations, revenue projections, sales mix, & product relevance.
- Revenue Management – Create the right products with right positioning and packaging, provide strategic and tactical pricing to maximise revenue while ensuring EBITDA control.
- Actively participate in key strategic deals as a subject matter expert by providing solutions and commercial support. Create capabilities nationally to boost acquisitions.
- Product Feature/Capability Enhancement– Craft and deliver the product strategy for the category. Need-gap analysis, proposition development, business case, product documentation, UAT, business simulation and go-to-market plan. Deliver new products & capabilities to market which provide a differentiator for VIBS, like Mobile Call Recording, new family/group plans, etc.; and monitor their performance with respect to deliverables & customer satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence: Drive day-to-day product and revenue management by effectively interfacing with cross-functional teams like IT, Technology, New Product Development team, Customer Service, Finance, Sales Segments, Commercial, and Consumer Organisation. Rigorous sales and funnel governance to increase revenue market share.
- Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience, Technical / Professional Qualifications
- 7+ years of Relevant experience in product management, including experience in Enterprise B2B and consumer segments for mobility data & voice products.
- Strong systems and process orientation, with knowledge of postpaid activation, CRM & billing systems. Managing & driving partner-led products entailing partial and/or full integration with VIL
- Relevant knowledge & experience in associated roles of commercial/pricing strategy & customer lifecycle value management.
- End-to-end product & proposition development experience including developing product concepts, business cases, delivering products through NPD cycles and building robust go-to-market plans.
- Expertise in managing products through their full life-cycle and the through a robust and rigorous Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process.
- Powerful influencing/ negotiation skills, effective relationship management skills and proven ability to function within a complex organization
- Graduate with MBA
- Product management certifications like Blackbelt or equivalent desirable
- Key Performance Indicators (Max 5)
- Enterprise Mobility Voice & Data revenue & growth in line with DB. Long Term roadmap and vision to increase market share for the respective product lines, including annual & LRP planning.
- Product capability enhancements and new product launches complementing existing products. Ensuring fast turnaround time of product / capability launches in line with plan & ensuring profitability of the products handled
- Driving product success & penetration through close collaboration with segment teams to ensure they are enabled & equipped to make the product successful on revenue & EBITDA fronts.
