Senior Manager Revenue Accounting

Role Name: Senior Manager – Revenue Accounting

Job Purpose

Support the function of Revenue Accounting in Setup of GDS and BSP and having good hold on different functions under RA as per the agreed terms and Air India Express policies including reconciliation of ledgers, follow ups and resolving account irregularities to enable the smooth functioning of the company.

Accounts Receivables :

1. Implement GDS, BSP, Interline and Codeshare and monitor internal controls in Accounts receivable processes.
2. Handle Inwards and Outward billing and rejections.
3. Coordination with third party for BIDT and fare audit
4. Handson experience in Navitaire is added advantage.
5. Manage accounts receivable reporting, ensuring accurate MIS and statutory reporting.
6. Implement internal controls, monitor ageing analysis, and handle exceptions effectively.
   
7. Track delayed/non-payments, resolve issues with collections team, and ensure smooth recoveries.
8. Lead billing & collections operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit closure.
9. Resolve billing discrepancies, refunds, credit balances, and statutory recoveries while maintaining accurate records.

Team Management

1. Lead end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, ensuring accurate billing, collections, compliance, and financial reporting.
2. Drive process excellence & controls across GDS, BSP, Interline, Codeshare, and third-party audits (BIDT, fare audit).
3. Manage collections, ageing analysis, and customer accounts, resolving delays, discrepancies, and recovery risks.
4. Oversee billing accuracy, audit closure, and statutory recoveries, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to optimize processes, reporting (MIS), and system efficiency (Navitaire exposure preferred).
6. Lead team performance by setting goals, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring high-quality delivery, governance, and continuous improvement.

Third-party Vendors/Suppliers - Manage the relations with third-party vendors and suppliers, set standards for quality of vendors and take charge in assessment of vendor performance

Regulatory Authorities - Maintain relations with the regulatory authorities to ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory compliances and provide all the necessary entries at the time of closure of books

Educational and Experience Requirements :

Education - PGDM and MBA or Masters degree related field experience in Finance or equivalent

Experience - 12 years of experience in running Finance functions, managing initiatives and programs pertaining to Finance Operations

15 years of experience with experience in leading teams for finance function. Experience in the aviation sector is an added advantage
