Job Description
- As an Industrial Design & Architecture Engineer, you will support the Top Company Objectives by enhancing the design of plants and stations to bolster the Industrial system for existing programs and establish a resilient system for future aircraft generations. Your responsibilities will include working with the Industrial DMU, preparing methodology documentation, defining, developing, and deploying Industrial systems and digital twin capabilities within the digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 framework. You will also create best practices to guide Industrial teams from conceptual design through the completion of the industrial system.
The role offers the opportunity to contribute across various programs, ranging from the current Airbus Aircraft fleet (A320, A330, A350) to the Zero-E programs. You will need the following skills and experience:
- Digital Manufacturing & Industry 4.0: Experience as a Digital Manufacturing Engineer to work on Industry 4.0 technologies and achieve digital twin objectives. Activities include designing plant layouts, conducting 3D simulations for logistics, iterating on alternate solutions, defining kinematics for Jig designs, automating industrial system design with Robotics simulations, performing ergonomic analysis, and utilizing Augmented/Virtual Reality for validation.
- Manufacturing Engineering: Implement Lean manufacturing, utilize Industrial Engineering principles, create/validate build sequences, apply GD&T knowledge, read design/manufacturing drawings, and develop NC Programming and Simulation.
- Industrial Architecture: Lead development projects, manage stakeholders, analyze needs, align architecture with business goals, and have knowledge of Airbus products, Structural assembly, and Systems design.
While not expected to possess all the mentioned skill sets, the job requires a basic understanding of the above. The role offers exposure to various career paths within the Industrial system, such as Industrial Digital Mockup, Ergonomist, Robotic Simulation, and Jigs & Tools design.
The ideal candidate will have soft skills including the ability to work independently and in a team, assertive communication, willingness to learn, adaptability to work on multiple projects, strong problem-solving, logical thinking, and effective decision-making skills. Educational requirements include B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. in Mechanical/Industrial/Production.
