Job Description
- As a Software Tester, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analyzing software requirements to design detailed test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Conducting functional, regression, UI, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple platforms.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla with clear reproduction steps and accurate statuses.
- Maintaining and updating test artifacts such as test plans, test cases, checklists, and test reports to ensure traceability and transparency.
- Actively engaging in Agile/scrum ceremonies to align testing efforts with development cycles.
- Collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and QA leads to clarify requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Evaluating the implications of new features and changes on existing functionality to prioritize testing effectively.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of focused manual testing experience across web and/or mobile applications.
- Proficiency in formalizing test documentation like test plans, cases, checklists, and test reports.
- Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla with strong defect logging and tracking capabilities.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, and familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) workflows.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective problem-solving skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate issues clearly and collaborate effectively.
Preferred qualifications that would be advantageous for this role include:
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SOAP UI for manual verification of backend services.
- Exposure to SQL or basic database validation techniques.
- Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and using device debugging tools such as ADB or Charles Proxy.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certification.
