Assistant Manager - Risk Data Architecture

Job Purpose

Assistant Manager, Risk Data Architecture is responsible for overseeing the integrity, quality, and compliance of data within the ERM team, ensuring that all ERM systems are operational for data analytics, modeling, and more. This role entails the implementation of strong data governance strategies, policies, and procedures to effectively manage data assets within ERM. In collaboration with various business units, IT teams, and compliance officers, the AM works to foster a culture of data/system awareness, accountability, and trust.

Principle Accountabilities:

Risk Infrastructure

• Support the execute of the risk infrastructure and systems strategy and roadmap, in alignment with the overall risk management framework and objectives.
• Manage the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of risk infrastructure and systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance related to Risk system/infrastructure to the ERM team.
  
• Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with senior management, business units, and external stakeholders, and provide regular updates and reports on risk infrastructure and systems performance and issues.
• Identify and monitor emerging risks and trends, and propose solutions and enhancements to address them.
• Support the development and delivery of risk system training and awareness programs.

Data Analysis, Governance, Quality and Reporting

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and security of risk data, models, and reports, and implement data governance and quality assurance processes.
• Support ERM data strategy and roadmap to support the overarching strategy and transformation of data.
• Provide data related to IFRS 9, Risk Modelling, ICAAP/Stress Testing, Pricing, Management reporting to the respective team whenever needed from various risk systems etc.
• Prepare dashboard based on the archived data from various risk system likes Credit Lens, Moody’s etc. to understand the rating trends, process validations, etc.

Risk Datamart

• Develop data archival strategy of the risk data to store the historical data.
• Ensure the integration of the risk datamart to Bank’s overall data program.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business units, IT teams, corporate credit team, and other relevant functional teams and stakeholders to align ERM efforts with business and reporting goals.
• Manage engagement with Risk and IT teams on annual planning, new risk system development/maintenance, and periodic progress reviews on all risk infrastructure initiatives.
