Lead - Accounts & Taxation

Location : Andheri West

Reporting to : CFO

Role Purpose :

To lead end-to-end financial accounting, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting for the organization, ensuring accuracy, regulatory adherence, and strong governance in line with listed entity requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Financial Accounting & Reporting :

- Oversee books of accounts, month-end/year-end closures, and finalization of financial statements.

- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, SEBI (LODR), and other regulatory frameworks.

- Prepare financial reports for Board, Audit Committee, and external stakeholders.

- Support consolidation of group accounts, if applicable.

Taxation (Direct & Indirect) :

- Manage direct tax compliance : income tax computation, advance tax, TDS, assessments, and litigation.

- Oversee indirect tax matters : GST compliance, returns, audits, reconciliations, and notices.

- Drive tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency while ensuring compliance.

Audit & Compliance :

- Lead statutory audit, tax audit, and regulatory audits.

- Act as key liaison with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulators.

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and strengthen internal controls.

Governance & Controls :

- Strengthen financial controls, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.

- Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards applicable to listed companies.

- Support risk management and compliance reporting.

Team Leadership :

- Lead and develop the accounts and taxation team.

- Drive performance culture, accuracy, and timelines across the function.

Key Skills & Competencies :

- Strong expertise in Ind AS, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, SEBI regulations

- Experience in handling audits and regulatory interactions

- High attention to detail and strong analytical capability

- Stakeholder management and leadership skills

- Exposure to real estate accounting (project accounting, RERA, revenue recognition)

Qualifications :

- CA qualified (mandatory)
