Role Overview

Reports to: CEO and Co-Founder

We are looking for a Technical Documentation Writer who can craft clear, accurate, and insightful technical content that helps customers, developers, and partners understand Aktos product deeply.

Youll own the entire documentation and product content lifecycle from API documentation and release notes to technical blogs and in-product help ensuring Aktos voice is clear, authoritative, and easy to understand.

Key Responsibilities

Product Documentation

• Write and maintain clear, detailed documentation for Aktos product features, APIs, and integrations.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to explain complex workflows from API testing to MCP policy enforcement and runtime guardrails.
• Ensure docs include real payloads, screenshots, and configuration examples.

Knowledge Base & Release Notes

• 
  Manage the Akto Help Center
• Publish product release notes, FAQs, and setup guides for each release.
• Maintain structured version control and consistent formatting across all product areas.

Product Blogs & Technical Content

• Write in-depth product blogs that explain new features, product launches, and how it works articles for engineers and AppSec professionals.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to align technical storytelling with go-to-market priorities.
• Simplify complex product updates into crisp, narrative-driven posts that build thought leadership around AI Agent Security and MCP protection.

Developer Content

• Create step-by-step developer tutorials, SDK guides, and sample integrations.
• Contribute to API reference documentation and developer onboarding materials.
• Standardize tone, formatting, and structure across developer-facing content.

Collaboration & Review

• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing for technical accuracy.
• Review UX copy and in-product text to maintain clarity and consistency.
• Actively collect feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to improve documentation quality.

Qualifications

3 Most Critical Requirements

• Exceptional clarity and precision in writing you simplify the complex.
• Technical depth ability to understand network traffic, API flows, and MCP agent operations.
• Ownership mindset you take initiative and close loops fast.

Rest

• 26 years of experience in technical writing or developer content, ideally in SaaS, cybersecurity, or developer tools.
• Proficiency with Markdown, Notion, and documentation tools
• Ability to create structured and visual content (diagrams, examples, screenshots).
• Experience writing blogs or long-form explainers on product and engineering topics.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
