Job Description
- As a Java/J2EE Lead Developer with over 5 years of experience, you will play a crucial role within Alepo's R&D software development team. Your primary focus will be leading and managing an agile team to design, develop, test, and release new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for Alepo's web portal and self-care products. These products cater to global customers offering services such as 4G, LTE, 2G/3G, Wimax, WiFi, and Broadband.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and processes related to unit testing, code reviews, and acceptance test-driven development. You will also be responsible for analyzing and identifying issues, fixing them, and making maintenance releases to ensure product stability and performance.
As part of your role, you will need to take ownership of modules/projects, write JUnit test cases, and explore modern tools for code optimization and accelerated development. Additionally, you will lead and manage an agile software development team, ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and driving Sprint Planning meetings effectively.
Your technical skills must include strong proficiency in Java and J2EE, experience with Struts and Hibernate frameworks, understanding of Threads, familiarity with Application Servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere), experience with databases (MySQL, MS-SQL, Oracle), and familiarity with development tools such as Jira, Eclipse, and SVN.
Furthermore, you should possess domain expertise in Web portal and self-care products within the telecom domain, along with in-depth knowledge of at least one portal module. Experience in writing JUnit tests, analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, leadership and mentoring capabilities, and ownership of modules/projects are essential soft skills for this role.

Experience with Liferay, NodeJS, Angular, automation tools like Robot Framework or Selenium, unit testing with 80% code coverage, and strong debugging skills are desirable technical skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, product bug handling, and basic understanding of generative AI concepts will be beneficial enhancements.
