SAP BW Lead Consultant

The Vended Application Lead Consultant serves as a senior expert across key business functions, leveraging deep knowledge of ERP and vended software to design, configure, and optimize enterprise solutions. This role combines functional, technical, and product strategy expertisecreating technical and process designs, guiding complex application implementations, and influencing vendor roadmaps.
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Analytics specialist with strong capabilities in SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, and CDS View development. The consultant will lead the design and development of real-time analytical solutions, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, drive product feature planning, and mentor team members to ensure high?quality delivery across the analytics landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting Development

• Design and develop analytical reports using SAP BW/4HANA and S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.
• Build and enhance CDS Views to enable real?time, high?performance reporting.
• Optimize data models, HANA views, and queries for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data across all reporting and analytics layers.
  

Business and Product Collaboration

• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into effective technical solutions.
• Support product planning by creating detailed user stories for complex features and guiding junior team members.
• Lead feature review sessions, document key decisions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  

Design & Delivery Leadership

• 
  Create functional designs addressing complex business processes and integrated product features.
• Evaluate vendor software capabilities and enhancements to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy.
• Manage issues, risks, and blockers across analytics features and product deliverables.
  

End-User Enablement

• Provide training, documentation, and troubleshooting support to analytics end users to ensure adoption and effective usage.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BW (preferably BW/4HANA).
• Proficiency in S/4HANA embedded analytics and CDS View development.
• Familiarity with ABAP for CDS annotations and enhancements.
• Knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications in BW/4HANA or S/4HANA Analytics.
• Experience in migrating SAP BW on HANA to BW/4HANA is a strong plus.
