Senior Accounting Specialist (General Ledger)

Position Summary:

As the Accountant, you will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and will be primarily responsible to compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries into accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monthly accounting activities with adherence to the Close Calendar


• Preparing and posting accruals with accuracy and completeness



• Fixed Assets Accounting – Accounting for additions, retirements, depreciation and maintaining Fixed Assets Register.


• Preparing Bank Reconciliations


• Preparing Account reconciliations and submission of the same in system within the assigned deadlines.


• Shall also undertake accounting of other liabilities and transaction service agreement activity.


• Assisting on various tasks related to SOX Compliance


• Supporting Internal/Statutory Audit – working on various audit requirements, reports, reconciliations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Master's degree in Commerce


• 2-4 years of experience required in an Accounting role with experience in GL function

  Exposure to internal controls and SOX environment in MNC


• Worked on Oracle R12


• Sound knowledge of MS-Office


• Strong Analytical skills


• Good Communication skills
