Sr Accounting Specialist (General Ledger - Revenue)

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to prepare standard and specialized financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, monthly closing reports) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) or other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and General Ledger reconciliations
• Coordinate and follow through with the month-end closing schedule
• Provide financial reports to management and answers inquiries as necessary
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Interact with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits
• Maintain knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant accounting regulations

Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience required in accounting role with experience in GL/Revenue function
• Exposure to internal controls and SOX environment in MNC
• Experience with Oracle R12
• Sound knowledge of MS-Office

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong Analytical skills
• Good Communication skills
• Should be familiar with accrued royalty and cost of sales concepts
• Understanding of Order to cash Cycle
• Knowledge of third party/COGS transactions
• Experience accounting for multiple vendors and business lines
• Oracle R12 Experience – Service Contracts, PA, Order Management modules

Requirements:

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Masters degree or "CA Inter" Strongly Preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP, IASB or other applicable regulatory agency reporting requirements and standards

Shift Timing: 11AM – 8PM

Work Location: Pune
