Automation QA Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend systems. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to ensure software reliability, scalability, and performance across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and relevant frameworks for web and backend applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.

- Identify and report bugs and technical issues, working closely with developers to ensure resolution.

- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and infrastructure.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve test scripts and automation practices.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to ensure continuous integration and deployment.

- Generate detailed test reports and provide insights to stakeholders on application quality and stability.

- Work with RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.

- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution of defects.

- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in QA automation and software testing.

Requirements:

- Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a strong background in web and backend automation.

- Proficiency in Java and test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.

- Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber for writing test scenarios in human-readable format.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.

- Familiarity with Docker for managing test environments.

- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git for managing source code.

- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and best testing practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot test failures efficiently.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
