Job Description
Amazon FinOps is looking for a Financial Analyst to be part of the Global Accounts Payable Digital Team. As an analytics expert at Amazon FinOps, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the largest data sets and help build data driven operational strategies to adapt and be successful in ever changing business environments
Key job responsibilities
- Develop new strategies to improve accuracy and timeliness of reporting
- Develop internal finance controls based on industry best practices.
- Leading and mentoring projects to address key cross-functional issues ranging from financial operations and vendor management.
- Deliver Financial Savings through projects
- Design and implement mechanisms to improve Operational Excellence Culture
- Provide periodic project updates, including major successes/challenges, to senior management
- Conduct brainstorming among teams to identify improvement opportunities as and when needed
- Support in terms of executing UAT and PVT for new business launches, expansions
- Support in terms of meeting process goals

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- Masters degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent
- Proficient with Advanced Excel
- Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau/QuickSight
- Overall 6+ years’ experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in data analyst/statistical analysis role

- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
- Experience in Data Warehouse and SQL
- 4+ years relevant data analysis and project management experience
- Able to work with financial analyses, assess and mitigate risk, forecast both long and short-term outcomes, and anticipate and navigate scenarios in a complex business environment
- Great organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail
- Highly flexible, with the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems systematically in a fast-paced, rapidly-evolving organization
- Ability to present and clearly communicate complex data, analyses and findings to non-experts
