The Job Responsibilities Would Include The Below
Amazon is looking for a Tax Analyst to work in indirect taxation compliance team.
- Ensuring adherence with GST compliances including computation of tax, payment of tax, filing of returns, filing of statements and certifications
- Analysing transactional data and validating the correctness of the same to ensure compliance with company policy and GST laws.
- Working closely with multiple teams like accounting, AP, AR, Treasury etc., and to ensure complete and accurate tax reporting in tax computations, returns filing.
- Managing tax assessments and audits.
- Tax Accounting and Reconciliation of tax returns with financial books and tax reports.
- Identifying tax efficiencies during compliance process and filing of tax returns and implementing the same in different sectors and geography.
- Preparing adequate documentation which will be required for tax audits and assessment.
- Supporting business teams and litigation team with accurate and timely data support for current and past periods.
- Building process and managing archiving and retrieval of tax data for all statutory purposes.
Basic Qualifications
- 1-2 years post qualification indirect tax compliance experience for CA graduate or 5 years indirect tax compliance experience for BCOM graduate or semi-qualified CA
- Experience in financial accounting systems and accounting process with hands on experience of reconciliation of financial books with tax returns.
- Experience in Big 4 public accounting firm or Large multi-state operated group company’s indirect tax compliances preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with accounting for taxes under IN GAAP required
- Prior experience and knowledge in Oracle financial database will be preferred
- Experience in working with cross-functional team
- Experience in handling GST compliance's for multiple group companies and multiple state registration will be preferred
- Candidate should maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities and work in a continuously changing environment.
