Job Description
- As a Lead Engineer at Amdocs Global Delivery Openet unit, your role will involve being an expert in our product and managing its deployment from start to finish. You will directly interact with customers to guide them on tailoring our product to meet their unique business needs. Your responsibilities will include leveraging the product's capabilities to create customized solution designs, ensuring alignment with customer needs for successful outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing business requirements, performing impact assessments, and effort estimations.
- Collaborating with architects to break down scope and support the design process.
- Designing, developing, debugging, and maintaining software customizations with a focus on well-designed, maintainable, scalable, and supportable code.
- Leading defect handling in a solution and providing technical input for project status.
- Leading discussions related to the product and building relationships with internal teams.
- Demonstrating a proven track record of delivering complex integration projects to multiple customers.
- Working with high-performance real-time multi-threaded microservices, Java, DevOps pipelines, and Kubernetes.
- Having a working knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols, along with structured programming experience in Java.
- Holding a relevant degree in computer science or software engineering and showing a curiosity for continuous learning.

- Experience in the charging or policy telecom domain.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and gain buy-in on technical decisions.
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and readiness to take on challenges.
- Practical experience with genAI and exposure to Diameter.
- Understanding of architecture patterns in Geo-redundancy, Failover, Failure, and Robustness handling.
