In this vital role you will collaborate with ML engineers, developers, and lab IT staff to ensure these systems are secure, scalable, and reliable, while also preparing them for future integration with Managed Cloud Platforms (MCP). This position combines platform reliability, automation, and hands-on support for critical research tools.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment
- Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline
- Quickly translate concepts into working code by strong rapid prototyping skills
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology
- Develop innovative solution using generative AI technologies
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
- Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the software
- Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver high-quality software on time
- Integrate systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
- Collaborate with data scientists to develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models and pipelines using cloud platforms.
- Design and implement systems and processes to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications
- Automate routine operational tasks, such as deployments, monitoring, and incident response, to improve efficiency and reduce human error
- Develop and maintain monitoring tools and dashboards to track system health, performance, and availability

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree and e 8 to 13 years of experience in Computer Science, IT or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (including Elastic Beanstalk), Linux/Ubuntu, Windows Server
- Scripting & Automation: Python, NodeJS
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes
- Databases: MongoDB, SQL
- Infrastructure Management: Managed Cloud Platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS)
- DevOps Tools: CI/CD, GitOps, version control (Git), package management
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Enterprise Integration: Mulesoft, SCCM, ServiceNow API
- Experience with Integrating data flows from hardware to data management systems, IOT.
- Infrastructure-as-Code i.e. TerraForm, CloudFormation, etc.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, Wi-Fi) to extract data from hardware and software platforms
- Low-code / automation workflows for operational dashboards or scripting routines

Shift Information:
This position requires you to work a later shift and may be assigned a second or third shift schedule. Candidates must be willing and able to work during evening or night shifts, as required based on business requirements.
