About the role

This role is part of the Advanced Technology team in the Digital eXperience Group (*/dxg) which co-creates state-of-the-art products and solutions with businesses around the globe. Our growing array of solutions supports the expanding set of Expert Solutions and online product portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Develop Design and deliver GenAI features including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt/context engineering, and evaluation frameworks using LLM with appropriate safety controls.
• 
  Build solutions for semantic search, natural language understanding, conversational assistants, and intelligent automation by combining embeddings with vector search.
• Provide expertise in data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and experiment design; author and improve test scripts and harnesses for deterministic/stochastic model behavior, regression, and E2E functionality.
• Support the development of proofs of concept and production services using Python and FastAPI.
• Run load tests, monitor logs, and iterate based on cost/latency/quality signals.
• Be a self-starter who aligns technology choices with business goals, practices Responsible AI (guardrails, content filtering, auditability), and continuously improves reliability, safety, and user outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with product and engineering.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent, with focus in ML/AI or a related field.
• 3+ years experience delivering production-ready solutions leveraging AI/ML or GenAI (LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, RAG).
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and libraries/frameworks such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch and/or TensorFlow; experience with HuggingFace Transformers and SentenceTransformers.
• Experience integrating LLMs (Azure OpenAI GPT and/or AWS Bedrock Claude) and applying prompt engineering, function/tool calling, and schema-constrained generation.
• Experience with vector databases and retrieval (Weaviate preferred; alternatively, Pinecone, Qdrant, etc.).
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing training/evaluation pipelines (Amazon SageMaker Pipelines; or Azure ML Pipelines) and maintaining model/test automation scripts.
• Experience developing and operating Python services with FastAPI; containers and cloud platforms including AWS (Fargate, ECS, ECR, CloudWatch, DynamoDB) or Azure equivalents (AKS/ACI/ACR, Monitor, Cosmos DB).
• Experience with model serving and performance (NVIDIA Triton, TorchServe, TF Serving, KServe, BentoML, or managed endpoints); ability to run load tests and tune for latency/throughput/cost.
• Experience working with agile and Software Development Lifecycle tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Git) and test-driven or automation-first practices.
• Nice to have: agentic AI, RAG rerankers, LLM observability, data governance and Responsible AI.
