Job Description
- As a CIO (Manufacturing) at our leading automotive components manufacturing client based in Chennai, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the company's IT strategy aligned with business goals. Your responsibilities will include leading digital transformation initiatives by leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics, including IIOT. You will oversee the SAP S/4 HANA implementation, optimization, and integration with business processes to enhance IT infrastructure for scalable and secure operations.
Your role will also involve strengthening cybersecurity frameworks to protect organizational data, ensuring business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) mechanisms are in place, and driving IT governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Leading cross-functional teams, mentoring and developing IT talent will be crucial, along with engaging with C-level executives and board members to present IT roadmaps and strategies.
In this position, you will be responsible for balancing Run the Business (RTB) and Change the Business (CTB) priorities effectively, ensuring operational excellence while driving strategic transformation. Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends will be essential to align IT initiatives with the latest advancements in manufacturing.
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 18-23 years of experience in IT leadership roles within the manufacturing sector, preferably in the Automobile/Auto Components industry. Proven expertise in SAP S/4 HANA, AI-driven solutions, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity is required. Demonstrated experience in balancing RTB and CTB responsibilities, with a strong track record in digital transformation and IT-enabled business growth, is essential. You should be a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of the latest tech trends shaping the manufacturing industry, along with excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills.

The ability to work effectively with senior leadership, board members, and external partners, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, is crucial. Candidates based in Chennai are preferred for this role.
The selection process will involve an interview with the COO (face-to-face), an interview with the MD, a discussion with the CFO, and HR discussions.,
