Job Summary:
The Director Procurement will be responsible for developing and executing the overall procurement strategy to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supplier reliability. The role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and leadership to manage direct and indirect procurement categories, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement. This position partners closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and suppliers to align procurement goals with the companys strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to drive operational excellence and compliance.

- Build strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, innovation, and value creation.
- Negotiate large-scale contracts and manage supplier performance and risk.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and business units for budget alignment and forecasting.
- Oversee procurement analytics, spend management, and category optimization.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, governance, and ethical standards.
Experience Required:
- Total Experience: 8+ years in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years in a senior or head of procurement role.
- Proven track record in global sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization.
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or technology sectors preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Qualification:
- MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (Tier 1/2 institutes preferred).
- Additional certifications like CPSM, CIPS, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
