Job Description
- As a Senior Software Engineer in Test II at Anthology, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks and strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business workflows into cohesive test strategies, maximizing coverage and minimizing risk. Your expertise in cloud-based test automation, AWS services, CI/CD pipeline integration, and infrastructure-as-code practices will support scalable validation at every stage of deployment. You will also define best practices in test planning, risk assessment, and test governance using tools like Azure DevOps.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Architecting and implementing scalable test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium with Java, Playwright, Postman Collections, and JMeter for UI and API automation.
- Leading cross-functional collaborations to translate technical requirements into a cohesive test strategy.
- Providing technical leadership in cloud-based test automation and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Designing highly reusable and maintainable automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, data integrity, security, and usability.
- Overseeing test data strategies and ensuring adaptability to dynamic project requirements.
- Owning the regression testing portfolio and optimizing coverage and execution efficiency through automation best practices.
- Serving as a technical mentor and QA thought leader within Agile SCRUM teams.
- Leading root cause investigations for complex production issues and ensuring comprehensive traceability.
- Defining and enforcing quality engineering standards and processes.
Qualifications required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 9+ years of experience in software quality engineering with expertise in automation strategy and test architecture.
- Experience with tools such as Playwright, Selenium with Java, Postman, and JMeter.
- Deep understanding of SDLC/STLC, test pyramids, and QA best practices.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.

- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Test Professional and Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for quality across stakeholders.
- High initiative, ownership mentality, and commitment to driving results.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of AWS services and CRM systems.
- Experience in defining performance benchmarks and executing advanced performance tests.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles.
