Senior Manager - Legal Counsel - NBFC/FinTech - LLB/LLM

Role : Legal Counsel ( Senior Manager Level)
Location : Delhi
Key Responsibilities :

- Be an active and trusted business partner and ensure the provision of timely business-focused advice to amongst others, the debt products origination desk of the Organisation.
- Manage multiple complex structured debt transactions from inception to completion, ensuring all aspects are handled timely, meticulously and efficiently, including drafting and negotiating documentation across asset-based finance, NCDs and securitization transactions.
- Manage legal reviews and advise on risk management in relation to innovative financing structures, investment product development, how to best position/structure these products/features to reduce legal risk, including creating/ reviewing relevant documentation.
- Negotiate and deal with multiple stakeholders across different business lines, and legal teams.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers on finance transactions.

Educational Qualification / Work Experience & Skills :
- LLB / LLM with min. 6-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a mix of in-house experience (ideally gained at a financial services firm with an established debt investment desk) and top tier law firm experience (ideally gained within the core Banking and Finance practice)
- Familiarity with reviewing, drafting and negotiating NCD documents, loan agreements, securitization transactions/structured financing documentation is required
- Experience in advising on debt capital market transactions is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
