Manager - Waterproofing

Role & responsibilities

1. Planning and Design:

• Reviewing project specifications and drawings :Waterproofing managers ensure that waterproofing plans align with project requirements and relevant standards.
• Selecting appropriate waterproofing materials and systems : Need to assess the project's needs, considering factors like climate, building type, and budget, to choose the most suitable solutions.
• Developing detailed waterproofing plans : Need to create comprehensive plans that outline the specific methods, materials, and procedures to be used during installation.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards: Stay up-to-date with the latest building codes, industry standards, and best practices related to waterproofing.

2. Execution and Supervision:

• Overseeing the installation of waterproofing systems: Supervise the application of membranes, coatings, sealants, and other waterproofing components.
• Managing teams of technicians and contractors: Need to coordinate the work of various teams, ensuring efficient and timely completion of waterproofing tasks.
• Monitoring work progress and quality: Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of work and ensure adherence to the approved plans and specifications.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues: Should address any problems or defects that arise during the installation process, finding solutions to maintain the integrity of the waterproofing system.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintaining detailed records of waterproofing work: Should document the materials used, installation procedures, and any issues encountered.
• Preparing progress reports: Should communicate the status of waterproofing work to project Heads.
• Providing technical support and guidance: Need to offer expertise on waterproofing-related matters to the team.

Staying informed about industry trends: Need to keep abreast of the latest advancements in waterproofing technology and materials.

4. Safety:

• Ensuring a safe working environment : Need to prioritize safety protocols and procedures during the installation of waterproofing systems.
• Waterproofing manager is a key player in ensuring the long-term durability and functionality of buildings by preventing water damage. Should expertise in waterproofing systems, combined with their management and communication skills, makes them an invaluable asset in the construction industry.

Preferred candidate profile :

Should have total experience in Waterproofing in Hi-rise residential buildings.
