Seeking a strong Data Engineer with Databricks experience responsible for building and managing our client Data platform.

Role: Sr Data Engineer, 5-7+ yrs. experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be core team member of the Global Data and Digital Technologies team focusing on engineering and implementing our new data platform for Client.
• Focus on implementation of the architected Data Platform assisting with data engineering and machine learning algorithms.
• Will work independently in managing implementation tasks for Data Platform being implemented in AWS Databricks environment.
• As integral member of the development and implementation team for building and managing the platform will collaborate with other engineers in realizing the requirements.
• Will participate in the gathering and documentation of requirements, and engineering and developing the requirements and the align with architected solution.

• Fosters an environment of communication and problem solving, leveraging the Zapcom Code of Values.
• Will be self-driven, motived and take pride in developing quality software.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Prefer computer Engg or Computer science degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 year’s experience in working with big data, data lakes, warehouses, or large data solutions, as well as data pipelines and large data solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of experience developing source code preferably in C#, Python and experience with SQL.
• Experience in PySpark SQL is a plus.
• Experience with Databricks or other big data processing platforms
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Knowledge of data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka is a plus.
• Experience in the design, deployment, and support of large, complex systems
• Experience working with dbt (data build tool) a plus.
• Experience in the analytics and/or machine learning a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
