Intern, Media Monitoring

As a Media Analyst Intern at APCO, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social, digital, media monitoring and analysis. You will work closely with our team of experienced analysts to track, analyze, and report on media coverage across various platforms. This internship will provide you with valuable skills and insights into digital and media monitoring, in addition to learning quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques and tricks.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze media coverage from a wide range of sources, including news websites, social media platforms, and broadcast channels through media monitoring software and tools.
• Compile and summarize media mentions, identifying key themes, trends, and emerging topics of interest.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed reports and presentations for clients, highlighting relevant media coverage and providing actionable insights.
• Stay informed about current events, industry developments, and emerging media trends to provide informed analysis and recommendations.
  

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelors degree program, or fresh graduate in preferably (Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Social Studies, Political Science)
• Strong proficiency in English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge in Media, News, and Current Political Affairs is a plus.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools or software (e.g., Google Alerts, Meltwater, or similar platforms) is a plus.
• Analytical mindset.
