Description
As a member of the team, youll have the opportunity to work with a group of highly skilled engineers and scientists to bring new experiences to Apple products. This position requires a self-motivated robotics engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:
- Designing and implementing AI/ML systems to solve real-world problems
- Evaluating and debugging complex AI systems
- Integrating intricate AI systems into a larger software stack
Minimum Qualifications
MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Math or related field
Strong software engineering background
Ability to break down large features and implement practical solutions
Curiosity about new technologies, flexibility, and openness to ambiguity
Strong proficiency with robot planning / decision making (e.g. reasoning under uncertainty, POMDPs, intent prediction, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong proficiency with modern ML approaches (LLMs/VLMs/VLAs, Diffusion Models, etc.)
Strong proficiency with classical robotic algorithms (optimization, graph search, etc.)
Familiarity with the full robotics stack (controls, perception, motion planning, etc.)
Familiarity with Swift and Apple developer tools
