Job Description
- As a detail-oriented and experienced US and UK Accountant, you will be responsible for managing bookkeeping, tax compliance, and financial reporting for our clients. Your expertise in US GAAP/UK GAAP, tax laws, and accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms will be essential for this role. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively collaborate with international clients.
Your key responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and preparing and filing US (Federal & State) or UK (HMRC) tax returns for individuals and businesses. Additionally, you will assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients, ensure compliance with IRS, HMRC, and other regulatory requirements, generate financial reports, and provide insights for business decision-making. You will also support clients in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, as well as assist in financial audits and compliance reviews.
To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is preferred. You should have at least 1 year of experience in US/UK accounting, bookkeeping, and taxation, and be proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other similar tools. A strong understanding of US GAAP/UK GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and keen attention to detail.
