About The Role

This position will be responsible for auditing (Second line of defense testing) the Business Units across markets against applicable regulatory requirements thereby enable the Market Compliance Officers gain assurance regarding the management of the company’s compliance risk.

Responsibilities

• PRSA Development: Identify testing requirements at the process level through their risk assessment process and incorporate these testing requirements as part of the PRSA program


• Conduct the Risk Assessment Questionnaires (RAQ) and Business Unit Matrix (BUAM), which establishes processes as they link to current mandates. Alongside, draft Process Flows Controls, and Testing Criteria for the PRSAs being implemented


• Regular and timely dialogue and communication on the progress of the work and potential findings to the local Market Compliance Officers, Operational Excellence and Business.


• Ability to identify and communicate findings with senior stakeholders (Directors, VPs, etc) and obtain concurrence of the findings.



• Work with business to develop remediation plans to address findings.


• From time to time, work with local Market Compliance officer to detect and identify emerging regulatory risks or impending legislation that may have impact on the Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

Past Experience

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in internal audit/consultancy within the Big Four or in a bank/financial institution background.


• The ideal candidate would be someone from a mix of Big 4 audit background plus internal audit experience/SOX testing/PRSA Testing in a bank/financial institution.

Academic Background

Good academic qualification with experience in compliance or legal would be an added advantage. Chartered Accounts, CPA, ACAMS and individuals with certifications in audit would be preferred.

Functional Skills

• Strong internal control and validating testing skills is a MUST. Experience in audits/PRSA testing/SOX testing related to Anti-money Laundering, Data privacy and corruption will be an added advantage.


• Ability to work independently from understanding the regulation, designing enterprise/market specific controls in accordance with the regulatory requirements, execution of fieldwork testing, communication of findings to business and to reporting gaps.


• Strong problem solving and analytical skills including the ability to conceptualize and break down complex issues into actionable tasks.


• High degree of organization, individual initiative, results and solution oriented, and personal accountability and resiliency


• Strong Interpersonal & Project Management Skills. Candidate should be good on Multitasking and Time management


• Proven robust problem solving skills
