Senior Accountant

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

• Experienced and senior accounting professional with expertise in general ledger and account
• 
  payables/ receivables operations. Full responsibility for preparing first draft of balance sheet and
• acting as senior expert for account payables /receivables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• General Ledger Accounting Responsible for timely and accurate calculation and documentation of provisions and recurring entries. Responsible for valuation of inventories. Reconciliation and maintenance of general ledger accounts. Independent processing and posting of manual accruals. Preparation of the first draft of the balance sheet and supporting schedules. Ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting guidelines. Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities for GL. Assisting with internal and external audits related to GL accounts. Training and updating the team on new internal and external accounting instructions and guidelines. Contributing to process improvements and maintaining documentation for GL processes.
• Operational Finance & Administration Creating purchase requisitions (BANF) and booking of service entries as required.
• Performing manual journal entries independently and executing recurring transactions. Contributing to compliance and process integrity by supporting audits and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of strong accounting experience, RTR ,Fixed Asset, GL Accounting, SAP
• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• CA/ICWA/CMA is preferred
